The event started in glorius sunshine at Brands Hatch. The Regularity class did their laps first, followed by two exciting races.

Mike Smith & Peter Scott ran ahead of the field on the first day.

In the first race, John Clark in his E-type Jaguar leads the field through Paddock Hill bend. Nick Faure in his Porsche 356 chased the Lotus Elite of Malcolm Ricketts at Brands Hatch. Unfortunately, the Porsche did not make it to the next stage.

The second race saw Howard Redhouse grab an early lead.

John Grant in his Chevron B16 powers through the field on his way to winning the second race.

Julian Bronson's Riley Blue Streak had a great dice with the P Blakeney-Edwards Fraser Nash before retiring from the event with a mechanical failure. Next major stop was the Brooklands museum.

The cars drove around the museum at Brooklands, before venturing out on to part of the original banking.

From Brooklands, the cars immediately entered the fantastic Mercedes World complex, for a thrash around the test track facilities. The Robert Newton/Mark Bennett Bristol 401 negotiates the skid pan part of the Mercedes World test track.

Mark Smith throws the Ford Escort round the test track.

Tour Britannia was given special access to drive 'The Long Walk' in Windsor Great Park, which is restricted to vehicles. The Copper horse on Snow hill can be seen in the distance.

The Fraser Nash passes the Gate House and the George IV gateway.

Windsor castle lies at the end of the Long Walk. Best of British.

The second day started racing at Donington park.

Due to a mix up by the circuit, only the first of the two races was able to take place. The Fraser Nash mixed it up with more modern machinery.

Next circuit on the tour was Mallory Park.
